Aberdeen School Board hear good news

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Aberdeen School Board held their meeting Monday night.  They hear about Aberdeen Central’s One Act Play that did well at the State Festival in Brandon back in February.

Director Paige Tiede talked about the play they performed.

Tiede talked about some of the awards they received.

Also in the meeting, the School Board acknowledged two Legislative Commemorations done by the South Dakota Legislature.  One on the Senate side honored former School Board member Duane Alm for his sixty years of service with the Aberdeen public schools.

Alm thanked the staff for him to receive such an honor.

On the House side they commemorated School Board member Brad Olson for over 25 years being on the Aberdeen School Board.

Olson also credited the staff he has worked with to allow him to be recognized.

Olson also has a message for the South Dakota Legislature regarding the issue of local control.

The School Board also recognized Wyatt Severson and Zach Bau for winning state titles in Esports.
