As of late June, the City of Aberdeen was placed on level one water restrictions.

Stu Nelson, Public Works Director & City Engineer, provided a statement on why the restrictions were issued.

Nelson also gave an update on the timeline needed for the repairs.

Nelson notes the biggest change will be for people who have automated sprinkler systems.

Nelson says the restrictions will help maintain water access for emergency services.
