Aberdeen weather update

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)-  The city of Aberdeen over the past two days have received over an inch of moisture since Tuesday morning.  Of that 9.3 inches of snow has accumulated during that time.

Brown County Commissioner Duane Sutton announced that the burn ban that was in the discussion will not be taking place at this time.

On Wednesday, both the Aberdeen public & Aberdeen Roncalli schools announced schools were let go early due to the weather on Wednesday.

Public Work’s Department plans are for no plowing will be taking place including the parking lots.  The roads would be salted instead.  They believe that the roads will see melting take place as a result of the temperatures.  We are expected to be in the 40s for highs coming up starting Thursday.  40% of rain is in the forecast coming up on Friday.

They do advise to proceed with caution on the roads as there could be some slippery spots at times.
