PIERRE, S.D. (KCCR) – The 2020 Governor’s Awards were presented to seven individuals and businesses across the state to recognize their contributions toward the rehabilitation and employment of people with disabilities. Governor Kristi Noem presented the awards in the State Capitol Rotunda and says South Dakota has made progress in advancing opportunities for the disabled.

Among the award winners was Karen Schmeiser of Aberdeen, who won the Outstanding Transition Services Award.
