Sometimes the worlds of Sports and News collide, and this is one of those times, as Lowell Swanson of Aberdeen will join Aberdonians, Nancy and Greg Odde, Rob Weinmeister, Tom Tobin, Abby Trettin and now his Nephew Greg Swanson Posthumously in the South Dakota Hockey Fall of Fame.  Swanson told us.. it was family and time with his son and Nephew that really inspired his love of the sport..

Swanson was handed all the necessary equipment and thrown into the officiating fire.

Swanson said through the years, there have been many people that were instrumental in the growth of the sport, and it was truly a group effort, he was also quick to credit all those that gave back.
