ACLU is watching the South Dakota Redistricting process

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The House and Senate Redistricting Committees of the South Dakota legislature, along with the Rapid City subcommittee will meet again this week.

The ACLU of South Dakota is watching the process carefully. Candi Brings Plenty says they are concerned with the tight timeline of the committees and native representation.

Brings Plenty says the ACLU is ready to go to court to assure fair mapping.

A special legislative session is scheduled for November 8th to approve the maps drawn by the committees.
