ACT continues Popcorn Pull Up; films being shown nightly at Capitol

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Aberdeen Community Theatre has not been able to raise the curtain on its shows this summer, but ACT is doing what it can during the coronavirus pandemic.

A popular program this summer has been the Popcorn Pull Up, which takes place on Friday nights in front of the Capitol Cinema. Jim Walker, Artistic/Managing Director for ACT, talked about the fundraiser.

That program will take this Friday off before resuming next Friday, July 10.

Also, the Capitol Cinema has opened up to limited audiences. Shows take place nightly at 7. The current film is 1917, and Back to the Future will be offered starting Friday.

Walker said it is difficult to tell what the future holds as far as getting back to regular theater productions.
