PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota interim Attorney General Mark Vargo says his priority is restoring confidence in the office following the impeachment and conviction of former Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg.
Vargo says he wants to get face to face with as many agents as possible.
Vargo says it’s the DCI agents that are the prime contacts for local law enforcement.
Vargo, who is the States Attorney in Pennington County, says he will offer backup and support as needed.
Vargo, appointed by Governor Kristi Noem, will serve as Attorney General until January when a new Attorney General, most likely Marty Jackley, will be sworn in.
