Adoptions up during April at Humane Society

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – While it has been a tough month on nearly everyone because of the COVID-19 virus, it was actually a solid month for pet adoptions at the Aberdeen Area Humane Society.

Elaine Schaible, Humane Society Manager, said that while the facility was open by appointment only, adoptions were still up.

The coronavirus did interrupt a scheduled fundraiser, one of the society’s paw sales. Schaible said that has tentatively been rescheduled, but there are still needs at the facility.

She said there are a variety of ways to make a donation to the Humane Society.
