PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- Several major airlines have announced cutbacks in the number of flights they will offer just as the summer travel season starts.
South Dakota Tourism Department Secretary Jim Hagen says state airports are working with their carriers.
Hagen says most tourist operators continue to struggle with finding enough workers.
Hagen says there aren’t any quick fixes.
Hagen says despite high gas prices and other challenges, he is still expecting an above average tourism year.
