WATERTOWN, S.D. (KWAT) – It’s been an awful spring for the airline industry. Many people were scared to fly in the midst of a global pandemic, and because of that, airline passenger boardings plummeted.
But numbers are beginning to bounce back, according to Watertown Regional Airport Manager Todd Syhre.
Syhre spoke at Monday’s Airport Board meeting.
He still has some lofty goals in terms of passenger boardings for the year.
Boardings in Watertown bottomed out in April, when there were just 45 for the entire month.
