AKASKA, S.D.(DRGNews)- The Akaska Development Corporation is coordinating the transportation to get hay and feed donations from South Dakota to cattle producers in Texas devastated by recent wildfires.

Texas Rancher Billy Hall says they’re doing what they can to manage the herds and resources they have left.

Hall says some people have been able to relocate their cattle, but not everyone.

Hall says with grass burned up, they need feed for the cattle that are left. He says hay and feed donations from South Dakota would be much appreciated in Texas.
