SOUTH DAKOTA(WNAX)- A new report from the Alzheimer’s Association shows the expected impacts of the disease in the next few years.
Leslie Morrow, Executive Director of the South Dakota Chapter, says there is a lack of medical specialists that can treat people with dementia.
Morrow says there will also be a major shortage of direct health care workers.
Morrow says the financial costs are also expected to jump.
Morrow says the number of people with Alzheimer’s is expected to grow over eleven percent by 2025.
