PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- American Medical Response, the ambulance service for the Pierre area, is reaching out to help rural first responders to be ready for when they arrive on scene.
Operations Supervisor Matt Hardwick says rural first responders for places like Blunt, Harrold and Four Corners in Stanley County are looking for more training opportunities which is something A-M-R can provide.
Hardwick says western Stanley County is the focus for their first offering of supplies and training.
A-M-R donated three portable oxygen tanks and supplies to Four Corners Fire Department on Sunday night. Hardwick is working with the local Pierre/Fort Pierre Ambulance Board on additional medical improvements for rural first responders in Hughes and Stanley Counties.
