ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The 14th Annual Battle of the Badges blood drive takes place Wednesday through Friday, Dec. 11-13 at City Lights (formerly the Eagles).

Hours are Noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.

Bailey Gemar (gamer), Donor Recruitment Representative with Vitalant, talked about this year’s goal.

The battle pits the Aberdeen Police Department against Aberdeen Fire and Rescue. While Fire and Rescue won last year’s event, Gemar said the real winners are those who are able to receive blood when they need it.

Gemar said there is an age requirement for those wishing to donate.
