ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Annual Bike Rodeo, sponsored by the Aberdeen Police Deparment, will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Aberdeen Aquatic Center south parking lot.

The event will include bike inspections, an obstacle course and bike raffles. Officer Jordan Lemke of the Aberdeen Police Department talked about the details.

A key component to the event is teaching kids bike safety.

The Bike Rodeo is free and there will be hot dogs, chips and juice served.

Last year about 60 kids attended the event. Lemke is hoping for closer to 100 this year since the Bike Rodeo has been moved to the parking lot of the Aquatic Center.
