ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Northern State is hosting the 51st Annual S.D. Jazz Festival on Thursday, Jan. 21.

The event will feature a fewer number of schools because of the pandemic, but will still go on as it has in the past. Grant Manhart, Northern State professor of music, trumpet and jazz, talked about the event.

There will be a variety of local schools involved.

The festival will include a zoom presentation by a University of Southern California professor.

The festival concludes with a concert that 7:30 p.m., which is free and open to the public. Masks are required. It will also be live-streamed on the NSU music Facebook page.
