SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(Kelo)- For the third time in recent months, a corrections officer has been attacked at the South Dakota Men’s Penitentiary.

An officer received facial injuries in the latest attack, but so far, the Attorney General’s office hasn’t been called in to investigate.

Attacks on corrections officers at the south Dakota men’s Penitentiary will be met head on…and agressively.

That’s the word from Attorney General Marty Jackley as the third attack in recent months was reported.

Jackley says the most recent attack doesn’t appear to have been very serious, as his office hasn’t been called in to investigate.
