PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- The tally is now up to four after a contractor hit another gas line Tuesday in Pierre.
Pierre Volunteer Fire Department chief Ian Paul says the contractor was doing curb and gutter project at the intersection of West Pleasant Drive and Oneida Avenue.
The gas line break was caused by the same contractor that hit a line one week ago while working on the same project.
Paul says each of the four incidents has been a little different.
Between Pierre and Fort Pierre, this is the 5th gas line break in the past week. Pierre firefighters also responded to breaks last week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Fort Pierre volunteer firefighters responded to a break Monday.
No one was injured and no structures were damaged in any of the incidents.
