PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – A big piece of South Dakota public land will be up for auction this week.

School & Public Lands Commissioner Ryan Brunner says the lease is for the Antelope Range Ranch in Harding County.

It has been a long-time research ranch for South Dakota State University.

Brunner says the lease income will go back to the university.

Brunner says it can be leased as one unit, or broken up.

The auction is set for Wednesday afternoon at the ranch.

Brunner says they will also have five more pieces of SDSU trust land that will be leased out later this year.
