On 4-10-24, around 7:15 am, APD officers were dispatched to a reported sexual assault.  Upon arrival, the officers met with the victim and she was transported to an area hospital.  The victim reported that during the night, a male forcibly entered the victim’s residence.  The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and sexually assaulted her.  After the assault, the suspect left the residence and the victim was able to contact police with the help of a neighbor.  The victim was able to provide the name of the suspect to police.

Officers located the suspect late Wednesday evening and took him into custody.  60-year-old Kennan Williams was charged with Rape (2nd Degree), Burglary (1st Degree), False Imprisonment, Aggravated Assault and numerous Bond Violations.

Bond was set at $100,000 for Williams.
