Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training Jan. 15-16

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) is set for Wednesday and Thursday, Jan. 15-16 on the campus of Northern State.

The training will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day and participants must attend both days.

Sam Christopherson, Dakotas Area Director for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, talked about the event.

She said the ASIST training is extremely valuable.

Christopherson said the issue of suicide is very complex.

She said help is available around the clock for those in need.

Cost to attend the training is $35 for adults and $25 for students, which include lunch and breakfast. Space is limited. For more information click on the events tab at www.afsp.org/southdakota
