The deadline is the 27th of July for a fun and challenging event coming soon at the Aberdeen Aquatic Center.. an apparent annual event that is now open to the public. Dan Severson of the Parks and Recreation department has more.

Severson goes a little further into the rules of the race for boats that have to be built on site.

As with any race, there is a level of competition, fun, ingenuity and creativity are the main goals of the event, and there are other chances at prizes.

Get your team of up to 6 people ready, sign up no later than the 27th and head out to the Aquatic Center on Saturday the 1st of August. More information on rules etc can be found at the Parks and Rec Facebook page or the City of Aberdeen Parks and Rec Website.
