Army Corps of Engineers provide update on Missouri River spring runoff

OMAHA, N.E.(WNAX)- The Corps of Engineers has the Missouri River reservoirs ready for spring runoff.

Mike Swenson with the Corps office in Omaha says they hit their flood storage levels.

Swenson says the expect Lake Oahe to see only minor flood pool rises this spring.

Swenson says they will soon start raising flows from Gavins Point Dam.

The Corps expects overall runoff into the Missouri River system this year to be just over eighty percent of normal.
