WASHINGTON, D.C.(HubCityRadio)- The articles of impeachment of Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas is expected to arrive in the U.S. Senate sometime next week.

Senator John Thune suspect once they arrive that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer will ask that the charges be dismissed immediately.

Thune believes that a trial should proceed in the Senate.

Thune talks about the record number of immigrants crossing the southern border in the first three years of President Biden’s administration.

The U.S. House charges Mayorkas with two articles of impeachments.  One for violating laws relating to immigration & the other for making false statements under oath to Congress.
