ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – The Aberdeen Area Arts Council has decided to cancel this year’s Arts in the Park. The health and safety of our exhibitors, attendees and staff comes first and foremost in making this difficult decision.

Arts in the Park has been a staple in Melgaard Park for 44 years on the third full weekend in June.   Purchasing hand crafted items, eating yummy food, enjoying live entertainment and connecting with friends make Arts in the Park a must-do summer event.

For our exhibitors, we know shows being canceled this spring and summer is devastating to their small business. While it cannot replace the in person experience, we encourage you to visit AberdeenAreaArtsCouncil.com starting June 1 where we will have a listing of exhibitors that would have been at Melgaard Park. We will include links to exhibitors’ websites, Facebook and Etsy pages. We encourage you to follow the Aberdeen Area Arts Council on social media as we will be highlighting the exhibitors throughout the month of June.

This is only an intermission – we look forward to seeing you next year on June 19-20, 2021.
