ABERDEEN, SD (Hub City Radio)-

At 8:08pm the Associated Press announced had called the runoff for Republican candidate for Governor to current Governor Larry Rhoden.

With 650 precincts reported in

Governor Rhoden had 71%(83.582) to Toby Doeden’s 29%(34,430)

Voter turnout for the runoff was at 35.91%

Toby Doeden conceded the race to Governor Rhoden.

Doeden pledged that his goal to unite the Republican Party together as one will continue.

Governor Rhoden acknowledged the call made by Doeden conceding the race.

Rhoden talked about how much an honor it is to be Governor and thanked his supporters for the win.

The governor will take on Democrat Dan Ahlers in the November elections.
