Attorney General Jackley charge Joseph Hoek with murder

MADISON, S.D.(KELO)- It appeared to be an intentional act.

Attorney General Marty Jackley is prosecuting the case of Joseph Hoek of Sioux Falls.

Jackley presented evidence against Hoek in court Monday…charging him with pre-meditated First Degree Murder and Aggravated Eluding.

Madison police responded to a call at a home, and Hoek left the scene at a high rate of speed.

The Attorney General says another hearing will be held this Friday.

He says he’s thankful for the outpouring of comfort.

Prorok’s funeral has been scheduled for this Thursday.
