PIERRE, S.D.(KELO)- Attorney General Marty Jackley is celebrating what he calls a big win for property owners.

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of states and property owners on controlling small bodies of water.

The ruling leaves decisions on those waterways in the hands of local authorities instead of the Federal Government.

Jackley says he’s been in the fight over water rights for most of the ten-plus years he has served as Attorney General.
