PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg has reached a plea deal with prosecutors on charges he’s facing as a result of a fatal pedestrian crash last September that killed 55 year-old Joe Boever of Highmore just west of Highmore. Impeachment articles were presented to the Legislature last session by District 24 Representative Will Mortenson.
Mortenson isn’t sure if the Legislature has much of an appetite to hold a special session to address a possible impeachment of Ranvsborg.
Mortenson doesn’t know if he’ll resume impeachment proceedings during the 2022 legislative session.
The Thursday change of plea hearing in the case is 18 days short of one-year since the crash that killed Boever.
