Attorney General Marty Jackley joining 38 other Attorneys General calling for Congress to pass Combating Illicit Xylazine Act

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley is joining thirty eight other Attorneys General in asking Congress to pass the “Combating Illicit Xylazine Act”.

Jackley says it adds a deadly boost to other illegal drugs.

Jackley says it’s a desperate move by drug sellers and users.

Xylazine is a veterinary medication used to sedate and relieve pain in animals. Mixed with opioids, it becomes very dangerous for humans.
