WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)–Attorney General Marty Jackley says this year’s legislative session was a good one when it comes to the issue of fighting crime.
The attorney general’s office proposed five major pieces of legislation this session. All of them passed and were signed into law by Governor Noem.
Among them, a bill dealing with the drug Xylazine.
There’s also legislation signed into law dealing with artificial intelligence.
The attorney general is South Dakota’s top law enforcement officer.
Jackley’s office operates with an annual budget of $39 million.
