PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – As part of a criminal justice reform package, South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg says he is working on drug treatment options. He says one piece dealing with prison costs is currently with the Legislative Research Council.

Ravnsborg says while a legislative summer study recommended more drug treatment options, it didn’t include any costs.

Ravnsborg says he supports expanded treatment options.

Ravnsborg wants to restrict the use of presumptive probation and keep drug ingestion as a felony.
