Augustana freshman makes online threat

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Augustana University confirms that an incoming freshman made some sort of online threat that other Augie students saw and reported.

The school’s investigation determined there was no immediate threat and that the student was not on campus at the time the threat was made.

But Augie has a zero-tolerance policy for this sort of thing, so the student will not be allowed to attend the university.

The University is not giving details of the threat, the identity of the threat-maker, or the student’s hometown.

The first day of class at the Sioux Falls school is August 28.
