YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- The Centers for Disease Control have changed the guidelines for face mask use and vaccinations as Covid-19 infections numbers fall.
Liz Healy, infection control specialist at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, says the changes are based on local conditions.
Healy says the guidelines follow several risk factors.
Healy says vaccines are still an important part of keeping Covid-19 numbers low.
Healy says the declining infection numbers are taking the pressure off health care workers too.
