AVON, S.D. (WNAX) – The State of South Dakota is launching the “K-12 Connect” program which will provide free internet service to eligible students and their families for the rest of the school year.
Avon School Superintendent Tom Culver says there is a need for that type of help.
Culver says most of their students would be able to connect at home.
Culver says they have also standardized the software that students and teachers are using.
The Avon district went to remote learning this week due to positive Covid cases among high school students and staff.
Culver says they hope to return to their building next week.
