PIERPONT, S.D.(Press Release) – The Back Forty Beef Adventure Farm is thrilled to be back for its second season, offering a 12-acre corn maze, family-friendly activities, an on-farm store, and much more. In partnership with Channel Seed and Pro Ag Supply, this year’s corn maze showcases intricate designs featuring a corn cob, barn, bee, and flower, along with the Channel and Pro Ag Supply logos. Visitors can navigate the Maze using their smartphones, “check-in” for special rewards from local businesses, and discover fascinating facts about farming and pollinators along the way.
The Back Forty Beef Adventure Farm will also host special events on select days. The first is “Wine through the Maze,” an adults-only evening on Saturday, September 14, for guests 21 and older. “Last year, many parents shared their excitement about the kids’ activities and expressed interest in an adult-only event,” says co-owner Kelly Brandlee. “We decided to introduce a wine night featuring South Dakota-made wines as an opportunity for date night or an evening out with friends,” continued Brandlee.
Tickets are $35 each and include six wine samples, a complimentary wine glass for the first 100 ticket holders, snacks, and full access to the corn maze and adventure farm. Local food truck Incredible Edibles will also be onsite, offering meals for an additional cost. Webster based business, the Flower Cart will sell flower bouquets off their make and take flower bar.
Through out the “Wine Through the Maze” experience guests will sample offerings from South Dakota vineyards including The Cornerpost Grape Farm and Wine House (Huron), J Musil Wines (Huron), and With the Wind Vineyard and Winery (Rosholt).
Before heading home, visitors can stop by The Farm Store, where they can purchase a range of local products, including homegrown Back Forty Beef, pumpkins from Waldner Farms, local honey, and much more from other local vendors.
The Maze will be open every weekend through October 26 and 27, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the last entry tickets
