BankWest committment to agriculture at the South Dakota State Fair

PIERRE, S.D.(KCCR)- Pierre-based BankWest is making another commitment to South Dakota agriculture at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds in Huron.  Fair officials announced Thursday an 85-thousand dollar donation for the SHED.  The SHED will be the new home for Open Class Sheep at the State Fair.  State Fair Manager Peggy Besch says the donation means a lot to the Fair.

The SHED is a 40-thousand square foot, multi-use facility.

Restrooms will be included in the SHED.  Other than restrooms and educational center, the building will be open air.  In late July BankWest donated 250-thousand dollars to the Dakota Events Complex or the DEX; which is starting to take shape.

A groundbreaking for the SHED is planned for the 2023 State Fair.  The donation will make BankWest sponsor of the Wool Wall at the SHED.  BankWest has donated 335-thousand dollars this year to projects at the State Fairgrounds in Huron.
