PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – Early voting started recently in South Dakota and Secretary of State Steve Barnett says there has been a lot of activity.
Barnett, appearing before the Government Operations and Audit Committee, says voters have several options to get an early ballot.
Barnett says a number of election officials had a conference call with U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy recently about the handling of mail in ballots.
Barnett told the committee while his office can help coordinate, voting is overseen by the Auditors in each county.
