DOLAND, S.D. (Press Release) – BASEC (Beadle and Spink Enterprise Community) is currently offering a grant/loan program to homeowners within the BASEC geographic area for the repair or rehabilitation of their single family, owner-occupied home.
“The grants available are on a first come, first served basis and will conclude next spring, so now is the time to visit with us if your home is in need of repairs,” BASEC Executive Director Amy Hofer said.
This program is a partnership between BASEC and SDHDA (South Dakota Housing Development Authority). Projects supported by the grant/loan program must be focused on structural improvements, energy performance, or health and safety issues.
Grants are available for up to $10,000 and are forgivable by SDHDA over a 5-year period. The grants must be matched with loan funds from BASEC.
