ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Annual Battle of the Badges blood drives takes place this week at City Lights in Aberdeen.

Bailey Gemar, Donor Recruitment Representative with Vitalant, provides the details of the event which pits Aberdeen Law vs. Aberdeen Fire in a friendly competition.

She said that blood is always needed at this time of the year, but that the pandemic has made the need more crucial.

Gemar talked about how the pandemic might impact those who are willing to donate blood.

The goal this year is once again 500 donors.
