Bethesda Home of Aberdeen receives 5-star quality rating

ABERDEEN, S.D. (Press Release) – Bethesda Home of Aberdeen was recently awarded a 5-Star Quality Rating by the United States government. Nursing Home Compare (NHC) provides quality ratings to each of the nation’s 15,000 plus Medicare and/or Medicaid-certified skilled nursing home facilities. Scott Eisenbeisz, Bethesda Aberdeen Administrator, noted that each facility is rated on a continuum from a low rating (1 star) to the highest possible ranking of 5 stars.

“The Five-Star Quality Rating System is purposely designed for consumers, families and caregivers to more effectively compare nursing home options,” Eisenbeisz stated. “Our dedicated staff at Bethesda Home considers the 5-Star Quality Rating a true validation of the standard of care we strive to provide to our residents each and every day.”

According to NHC guidelines, nursing homes with 5-star ratings are considered to have “much above average quality” when accessing various aspects of care. Each facility receives one overall rating, and separate individual ratings based upon health inspections, staffing levels and various quality measures. The goal is to determine how well a nursing home is caring for residents’ physical and clinical needs.
