Beware of scams during COVID-19 outbreak

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Scammers are busy at work attempting to make difficult times even more trying.

Jessie Schmidt, South Dakota State Director of the Better Business Bureau, said there are many COVID-19 related scams currently going around.

She talked about how the calls work.

Schmidt said that people can be especially vulnerable during uncertain times.

Her advice is not to answer any calls that seem suspect or unusual.

Schmidt encouraged anybody who has experienced one of these calls to contact the Better Business Bureau.
