ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The 2019 Big Idea Final Competition is set for Wednesday, Dec. 11 at the Johnson Fine Arts Center on the campus of Northern State.

Kelly Weaver, Coordinator of the event, talked about the details of the day.

Finalists include Smart Rides (Jordan Edwards, Paige Evans of Aberdeen Central), Wild Yarrow Design (Elizabeth Wright of Rapid City Stevens), The Urban Garden (Megan Nash of Northwestern), Hoffman Manure Hauling (Miles Hoffman of Leola), Vandy’s Lawn Care (Paul Van Dover of Milbank Area), CattleHome Fencing (Jessie Lux, Kodi Retzer of Eureka), Korbin’s Steak Express (Korbin Leddy of Milbank Area), and New Home (Quentin Eck of Brookings).

Weaver said there is a process to reach the final round.

Some of the past winners have gone on to start their own business.

This year’s guest speaker is Phil Zuckerman, who will give a presentation on Tuesday at the K.O. Lee Aberdeen Public Library in addition to speaking on Wednesday.
