PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota House Ag and Natural Resources Committee debated a bill that would provide more protections for ag operations from nuisance claims and lawsuits.

Department of Ag and Natural Resources Secretary Hunter Roberts says farmers and ranchers have enough challenges already.

Committee Chairman, Representative Roger Chase of Huron said ag creates some issues.

The committee approved the bill on a twelve to zero vote, sending it on to the full House.
