Bill to update South Dakota’s physician assistant laws to be discuss in 2022

WINNER, S.D.(KYNT)- A bill that would modernize South Dakota’s physician assistant laws will be making a comeback during session next month.

Senator Erin Tobin of Winner is sponsoring the bill. She says her bill would allow physician assistants full practice authority.

Tobin adds that this bill would revolutionize healthcare in the very rural parts of the state.

The bill failed to pass in the Health and Human Services Committee last session.
