PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – South Dakota lawmakers are taking a long weekend and will return to Pierre Tuesday.
All bills are supposed to be introduced by the end of this week.
Senate Majority Leader Kris Langer of Dell Rapids says she will introduce what she calls a “STEP” bill.
Langer says its to give consumers more options.
Senator Jim Bolin of Canton says while it may appear to be a quiet session so far, a number of bills have been passed.
Bolin says much of the progress is fairly quiet.
Tuesday will be day 13 of the 36 of the main run of the session.
