South Dakota State University President Barry Dunn made a special budget request to the Board of Regents last week.

Dunn says they have some special needs for their livestock.

Dunn says they are seeing a growing number of students interested in animal science.

The Regents approved the budget request at their meeting at USD in Vermillion.
