MADISON, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Board of Regents has approved the expansion of the West River Health Science Center in Rapid City. It’s a joint project of Black Hills State and South Dakota State Universities. It would provide teaching space and resources for nursing training.
Black Hills State President Laurie Nichols said they have made a lot of progress.
South Dakota State President Barry Dunn says they are ready to move foreward.
Regent Tim Rave, who is also President of the South Dakota Association of Healthcare Organizations, says the center meets a critical need.
The Regents met last week at Dakota State University in Madison.
