Board of Regents ask their schools to prepare their budgets

PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- The South Dakota Board of Regents is asking their university presidents to start thinking about programs and projects for the fiscal year 2024 budget.

Heather Forney, vice president for Finance and Administration, explained the process to the Regents at their meeting this week.

Forney says they asked the presidents to think about system wide improvements.

Forney says they would like a priority list.

The Regents will formalize any recommendations to the legislature at one of their fall meetings.
